Chamber of Industry, Commerce and Navigation of Valencia
        Chamber of Industry, Commerce and Navigation of Valencia was officially established in 1886 by Queen Maria Cristina of Spain at the call of Department of Social Development. It is a Spanish government-owned public institution serving the same function of China’s Council for the Promotion of International Trade and Association of Industry and Commerce. The Chamber has set up subordinate departments such as: Committee for Public Projects and City Planning, Committee for Environment Protection and Industry, Committee for Maritime Affairs, Committee for Transportation and Infrastructure, Committee for International Trade and International Relations, Tourism Committee, Internal Trade Committee, Committee for Small-sized Enterprises and Craftsmen, Family Enterprises Committee, Industry Park Committee.
        The Chamber’s routine work falls into six parts, three of which covers internal management affairs and the other three covers service affairs. Internal management affairs are mainly handled by administration department, information department and secretarial department and service affairs are mainly handled by enterprises service department, trade department and what’s worth mentioning is the LluisVives Business School which provides training programs for senior management personnel under MBA programs of member enterprises of the Chamber. Regular courses include areas such as international trade, finance, management, marketing and sales, human resources, policy and regulations analysis, trade food processing and internet information.
        In 1996, a cooperation agreement has been signed between Chamber of Industry, Commerce and Navigation of Valencia and China Association for International Exchange of Personnel. This agreement is signed to help more senior Chinese civil servants to go to Valencia to attend training programs, and Madrid workstation is one of earliest overseas workstations recognized by Guangdong government. In 2009, the Chamber passed the evaluation of Guangdong Province and was awarded the title of “Overseas Workstation” and took responsibility of introduction of talents program in Europe.
